Donation / tipping QR
Stripe-powered tipping or donation QR with optional default amounts and recurring options.
Donation / tipping QR
A donation QR opens a "How much?" page with optional preset amounts. Customer picks, pays via Stripe, donor receives email receipt; you receive notification + tax-deductible record.
Configuration
- Suggested amounts — e.g. £5 / £10 / £25 / £50, plus custom
- Currency — auto-detected from donor location, or fixed
- One-time or recurring — both supported (recurring uses Stripe Subscriptions)
- Cause name + description — shown on the donation page
- Anonymous donations — opt-in toggle for the donor
- Receipt email — branded with your logo
Use cases
- Restaurant tipping (often paired with the table's Restaurant Menu QR)
- Charity collection at events
- Tip jar for service businesses (barbershops, valet)
- Crowdfunding micro-asks
Tax + receipts
Receipts include date, amount, currency, your registered name + address (we pull these from your QR NFC Tap org settings). For UK Gift Aid eligibility, charities should fill the Gift Aid declaration field — we relay this to your bookkeeping.
Settlement
Funds go to your linked Stripe account. Standard Stripe fees (1.4% + 20p in EU/UK; 2.9% + 30c in US). QR NFC Tap takes no cut on the Free plan; Pro+ tiers see slight improvements.
Tier availability
Free plan: 1 donation QR. Paid plans: unlimited.
