WhatsApp QR — pre-filled messages straight to your business
Diners and customers scan, get a pre-filled message ready to send to your WhatsApp number.
WhatsApp QR
A WhatsApp QR opens the scanner's WhatsApp app with a pre-filled message addressed to your number — they tap Send and the conversation begins.
When it's useful
- Restaurant table QR — "I'd like to order"
- Sales lead QR — "Tell me about your enterprise plan"
- Support QR on packaging — "Help with order #__"
- Business card alternative — "Hi, met you at [event]"
What you configure
- WhatsApp number (with country code)
- Pre-filled message text (URL-encoded; emojis allowed)
- Optional welcome banner shown on the scan landing page before WhatsApp opens
Tips
- WhatsApp number must be a real WhatsApp account — Business or personal
- WhatsApp Business number for B2B is recommended (auto-replies, away message, catalogue)
- Pre-fill the message with what you'd want to know first — saves the customer typing
Differences vs WhatsApp's own QR
WhatsApp's built-in QR is static — once printed, the message can't change. QR NFC Tap's WhatsApp QR is dynamic — edit the pre-filled message, the QR keeps working.
